The Finding Our Roots African American Museum will have a re-opening event Saturday, September 19th. The event will be held on the museum grounds at 918 Roussell Street in Houma from 11 AM to 4 PM. It will honor both early and present day medical professionals.
Music, cultural exhibits, African hairstyles, and food will be featured as a salute to the ancestors. All are invited to celebrate with us as we prepare to fully open very soon to the public with tours, lectures, and revealing information on local history.
For more information contact Founder and President, Mrs. Margie Scoby, at (985) 855-9202.
