About Us

Volunteers of America Greater New Orleans transforms the lives of persons in need through a variety of helping programs in 16 south Louisiana parishes. As a premier nonprofit human service provider, our work focuses on assisting children, families, persons with disabilities, seniors, veterans, and others who are among the most vulnerable in our communities, delivering personalized care to each individual we serve.

We are proud to be growing our presence in Terrebonne Parish with the addition of our new 82-unit mixed-income housing community, Bayou Cane Apartments. Our other services in Terrebonne Parish currently include adoption services and support for veterans and their families.

Our organization is a locally managed, locally governed affiliate of Volunteers of America national, one of the country's oldest, largest, most comprehensive human service charities.
